Hi, I'm Pietro
I build it. I secure it. I keep it running.
I develop custom web applications and software solutions — and unlike most developers, I also take care of what's underneath: servers, security, availability. No subcontractors, no finger-pointing. One person who knows your system from the code down to the infrastructure.

My Work
I focus on custom software development, server infrastructure management, and process automation. Below you can find selected projects and case studies.
Flurix — Business Management System (in production)
Problem: Small businesses run their operations across scattered spreadsheets, emails and paper — data is fragmented and nobody has the full picture.
Solution: A custom web platform that brings orders, clients and company processes into one place. Designed, built and operated entirely by me — from the architecture and database to the server it runs on.
Tech: PHP, MariaDB, REST API, Docker
Result: Live in production, used daily by real businesses.
Rezex — Universal Booking System (public beta)
Problem: Companies pay monthly fees for off-the-shelf booking systems that don't fit how they actually work — and they don't control their own data.
Solution: A universal booking platform with configurable resources, calendars, notifications and client management. You own the data and the platform.
Tech: PHP, MariaDB, REST API
Result: Public beta — try the demo and be there from the start.
Sport-Club — Sports Venue & Club Management (public beta)
Problem: Running a sports venue means courts, members, payments and schedules — usually spread across five disconnected tools.
Solution: A dedicated platform for sports venues and clubs: court booking, membership records, communication. Built on my own experience organising badminton training sessions and tournaments — I know the problem from both sides.
Tech: PHP, MariaDB, Docker
Result: Public beta — request a demo or join the pilot deployment.
Zero-Downtime Email Infrastructure Migration
Problem: A company needed its entire corporate email (39 accounts) migrated between mail servers — without losing a single message or interrupting daily operations.
Solution: Batch migration with imapsync, Mailcow + RSpamd configuration, DNS cutover scheduled outside business hours.
Tech: imapsync, Mailcow, RSpamd, Debian, DNS
Result: 39 mailboxes, ~300 GB of data, 0 lost emails, 0 minutes of downtime during business hours.
Automated Processing of Official Documents (OCR)
Problem: Manually processing some 5,000 official documents and sorting them by owner — days of monotonous, error-prone work.
Solution: A Python OCR pipeline (Tesseract), automatic matching against Excel data and splitting of PDF documents by owner.
Tech: Python, Tesseract OCR, openpyxl
Result: Days of manual work reduced to minutes of machine processing — reusable for every new batch.
Analysis of an AI-Assisted Phishing Attack
Problem: A real phishing attack using AI-generated content — a new generation of threats that traditional filters struggle to catch.
Solution: Forensic analysis of the attack, documentation of the attacker's techniques and a published public breakdown for the security community.
Tech: Header analysis, OSINT, sandbox analysis
Result: Published case study on the blog → link

Frequently Asked Questions
How does a collaboration start?
It starts with a short, no-obligation consultation by email or video call to clarify your goals. You then receive a concrete proposal with scope, price and timeline. For smaller engagements I recommend starting with a fixed-price package, such as the €290 Security Quick Scan.
Do you work with clients outside the Czech Republic?
Yes, I work fully remotely with clients across Europe and beyond. I communicate in Czech and English, invoice in EUR or USD, and I'm used to asynchronous collaboration across time zones.
Why custom development instead of WordPress or no-code tools?
Off-the-shelf solutions are quick to launch but carry hidden long-term costs: plugin security risks, vendor dependency and growth limits. A custom application does exactly what you need, belongs to you and grows with you. And where an off-the-shelf tool genuinely fits, I'll honestly recommend it.
Who owns the code and the data?
You do. Once paid, you receive full rights to the source code and all data. No vendor lock-in — you can continue with any other supplier at any time.
How much does a web application cost?
Custom projects start at €3,000; smaller tasks and consulting are billed hourly from €65/h. After the initial consultation you always get a fixed quote up front, with no hidden items.
What does the Security Quick Scan include?
I check security headers, TLS configuration, email records (SPF/DKIM/DMARC), open ports and software versions. Within 3 business days you receive a clear, prioritised report — and it's yours to keep even if we don't continue working together.
Can you take over a project from another developer?
Yes, it's one of the most common scenarios I handle. I audit the existing code and infrastructure, document the current state and propose a plan — from small fixes to gradual modernisation, without unnecessary rewrites from scratch.
Do you also take care of the application after launch?
Yes, that's exactly what my monthly care plans (retainers) are for: monitoring, updates, backups and a guaranteed response time of 4 to 24 hours depending on the tier. You run your business, I look after the technology.
What technologies do you use?
The backbone is PHP and Python, with PostgreSQL, MySQL and MariaDB databases, Docker and Linux servers (Debian, Ubuntu). I choose proven, long-lived technologies so your solution doesn't become a dead dependency in a few years.
How quickly do you respond to enquiries and requests?
I reply to new enquiries within 24 hours on business days. Retainer clients have a contractually guaranteed response time of 4–24 hours depending on the tier, including urgent interventions.
